Online LIBS Courses
If you are interested in taking any of the online sections of LIBS, you must have:
- Internet access
- An e-mail address
- Access to a computer capable of downloading basic documents.
The online format requires e-mail submissions of assignments and other written material. You also engage in online chat and conferencing with other students in the course.
Final exams in all online Liberal Studies courses are held at the BCIT campus. If you live outside a 100-km radius from BCIT, you must make arrangements with the Liberal Studies Program Head to write a proctored exam at an approved location.
As an online student, you are expected to log in during the first week of a LIBS course and will be regarded as absent if you fail to do so. You are then expected to check the site at least once a week throughout the course and participate as required.
If you choose to withdraw, you must conform to the Registrar's regulations and may forfeit all or a part of your fees, depending on the withdrawal date.
