The Physics 12 Challenge Exam allows students to demonstrate the required physics knowledge and skills at the British Columbia grade 12 level. It covers material related to the topics of graphical methods, vectors, kinematics, dynamics, work, energy and power, momentum, equilibrium, circular motion, gravitation, electrostatics, electric circuits, electromagnetism. To obtain information pertaining to topics tested refer to the following website curriculum.gov.bc.ca/curriculum/science/12/physics. Students must review their program entrance requirements to determine the minimum acceptable exam grade.

** IMPORTANT INFORMATION - READ CAREFULLY BEFORE REGISTERING ** The PHYS 0120 exam fee is NON-REFUNDABLE and MUST BE PAID AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION. Non-payment upon registration will result in the student being dropped from the exam writing without prior notice. This exam will be WRITTEN ONLINE. The online writing does not require students to be physically on campus. A computer with internet access is required. The exam instructor will communicate with students via BCIT’s Learning Hub (learn.bcit.ca) therefore it is important that students sign into the Learning Hub PRIOR to the exam date to review any messages. Students can only write the exam ONCE. If a student registers and writes the exam a second time they will be given the mark from their first writing. The PHYS 0120 exam is designed for those students who are well versed in the topics covered in the BC Physics 12 curriculum and who previously scored a mark equivalent to or exceeding the mark required by their BCIT program of choice. It is the STUDENT's responsibility to review their program entrance requirements to determine the minimum acceptable exam grade. The maximum time allowed to write this exam is 3 hours. A formula sheet will be included with the exam. To obtain information pertaining to topics tested refer to the following website – curriculum.gov.bc.ca/curriculum/science/12/physics.
