In order to be eligible to attend Convocation, you must complete and have grades posted for all coursework including practicum assignments, and any outstanding financial obligations to BCIT must be resolved.
Apply to graduate: Full time technology and trades students do not need to formally apply to graduate. Flexible Learning, or part-time students do have to apply to graduate through completing an Application for Credential form.

The 2026 Convocation Ceremonies will be taking place on June 23-26.
Registration to attend convocation is now closed.
Online Regalia rental reservation is now closed.
Rentals will be available onsite on the day of your ceremony for $50 (tax included), and only credit or debit payments will be accepted. All regalia rentals include a gown, hood, cap, and tassel. The cap and tassel are yours to keep.
The Valedictorian is an outstanding student that is selected to represent the graduating class and delivers a formal address during Convocation. Students can be nominated by other BCIT students or instructors, and you can also nominate yourself.
It is important to us that your name is pronounced correctly as you cross the stage during Convocation. An email has been sent to the address you provided during registration, inviting you to record the pronunciation of your name.
