The IDEAS lens guides all teaching and learning at BCIT. IDEAS is an ethic of care and accountability that weaves together Indigenous reconciliation, inclusivity, diversity, equity, accessibility, sustainability, and student wellbeing.
UDL serves as a framework for action, supporting the enactment of IDEAS principles in everyday teaching and learning practice by increasing accessibility to learning and supporting diversity of our students. It encourages a student-centred approach to teaching and learning that aligns to IDEAS.
