Course Details

​This course allows students to learn, practice and demonstrate competency in knowledge of computer statistical simulation methods that are not covered in Math 1060. This course is taken after successfully completing Math 1060.

  1. Departmental approval needed
  2. Approval will be granted once successfully completing MATH 1060. Email and include your student number to request approval. Fee is non refundable.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Program in software (e.g. R, Python or other language as determined by the instructor) a computer simulation of a stochastic process.
  • Answer different probability questions using an experimental frequentist approach.
