Construction Operations/Supervision Part-time Studies Course

Course Details

​Covers estimating of wood frame structure, steel structure, and above grade concrete structure with a focus on multi-family residential and small commercial projects. Introduces Planswift Estimating Software** Topics include: various take-off procedures to create an estimate and prepare and print a variety of estimating reports. All students must have Completed BLDT 1041 prior to this course - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:

  • Interpret construction drawings and specifications for above foundation construction systems.
  • Lay out industry-standard spreadsheet quantities for wood, steel and concrete structure.
  • Take off into categories for costing.
  • Use Timberline Office Estimating Software for data entry, data manipulation and summary consolidation.
