Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Describe the programs and processes associated with acquiring and maintaining an effective and efficient workforce.
- Analyze some of the key human resource management issues facing Canadian organizations.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the terminology and some generally accepted practices within some of the main human resource management functional areas. E.g.: Recruitment and Selection, Training & Development, Performance Management, etc.
- Identify the various bodies of employment laws and regulations that apply to employers operating in British Columbia.
- Create effective written and oral reports.
