Continues from BLDG 2915. This course demonstrates how to analyze the major components/systems in existing houses, with special emphasis on identification of problems inherent in these systems. The course includes a field trip to be announced in class.

Prerequisite(s)

  • 50% in BLDG 2915 ( may be taken concurrently)
  • English 12 "50% (Pass)" or equivalent www.bcit.ca/admission/upgrading/englishproficiency.shtml or COMM 0015 score of 50 or better. BLDG 2915 may be taken currently with BLDG 2925.

Status

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:

  • Identify incorrect installations of the main home systems in compairison to code requirements and good tradesman practices. The students will be able to report to their clients deficiencies especially any safety issues and make appropriate recommendations.
