Course Overview
The English assessment is used to determine your ability to read and understand written material. The assessment contains questions about readings that are similar in style to readings in trades training textbooks, manuals, and handouts. Diagrams, charts, tables, and short and long reading passages are presented. No prior knowledge of the content is assumed or required.

If you are writing the assessment online, please follow the instructions found on BCIT’s Learning Hub for the assessment. You will only be able to access the assessment and the instructions after you have registered and paid for it. **Test fee is non-refundable.** The assessment must be written in the same term you register and pay for it.
