Course Overview
In the last term of the program, students will complete their clinical education by competently performing all required techniques and procedures outlined in the Clinical Manual section C. Students will perform as an effective team member in the radiation therapy department to provide patients with optimal treatment and care. Completion of clinical assignments and Prep Exam(s) is mandatory for graduation and for eligibility to sit the CAMRT certification exams.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate competency and knowledge in practice as identified by the CAMRT Competency Profile for Radiation Therapists.
- Integrate knowledge and practice in a variety of clinical situations to effectively adapt to new technologies and applications.
- Consult within a multi-disciplinary or multi-professional health care team regarding standards of professional practice.
- Interpret radiation therapy plans in order to deliver treatment with attention to detail, accuracy and safety.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills to achieve optimal outcomes for the patients.
- Implement care plans to address the needs of the whole person based on the psycho-emotional, cultural and health issues for patients with cancer.
