Course Overview
An understanding of programming is essential for an Information Technology Business Solution Designer. In this course, the Python programming language will be used to introduce students to the concepts of computer programming in order to provide a foundation for systems development and data processing.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Understand the definition of a computing algorithm.
- Provide an explanation of the problem solving process.
- Utilize debugging in response to common programming errors.
- Identify variables, expressions and statements.
- Create and utilize functions.
- Understand selection and iteration and create simple programs to demonstrate these concepts.
- Utilize strings and lists to manage data.
- Create files and dictionaries to extend the capabilities of programs.
