Christina uses her 20-year background in sustainability research, consulting, and operational management around the world to leverage system change for cities. She has previously worked with the San Francisco Planning Department, Nutter Consulting smart cities strategy firm, Wilson Center Urban Sustainability Lab, and Post Carbon Institute, among others. She is also on the board of the EcoSmart Foundation, a Vancouver non-profit organization that develops grid-tied solar farms, particularly in First Nations communities. Along the way, Christina has contributed to a shared mobility strategy for the City of LA; developed online courses on urban innovation; produced an introductory guide on regenerative design for cities; created improvements to a sustainability master’s program; participated as speaker or rapporteur at urban conferences in Taiwan, China, Chile, and the US; and served as senior administrator for several organizations. Christina holds a master’s degree in Sustainability and Environmental Management from Harvard and a BA in Environmental Studies – with a joint major in Anthropology – from the University of Victoria.

Cora has over 20 years experience advancing community and organizational sustainability. She has worked on award winning plans and has been contracted and appointed to advise on municipal, regional and corporate climate action and sustainability initiatives. She has extensive background in climate action, sustainable consumption and waste management; focusing on planning, strategy and inventory development.
Cora is Principal of her own consulting practice; part-time Faculty instructor at BCIT; and is a Senior Associate with One Earth. Cora has been managing the pilot testing of the ecoCity Footprint Tool and has been working with municipalities to employ the results from these assessments, including as lead of One Planet Saanich.

Ryan Mackie is a Sustainability Consultant with nearly 20 years of experience developing technology and working with organizations on sustainable solutions. Ryan has a strong background in renewable technologies, research and analysis, mathematical modeling, and acting as a liaison conveying complex ideas clearly to technical experts or a lay audience. Prior to consulting, Ryan worked as an Engineer with Ballard Power Systems. There he was responsible for computational and experimental analysis, peer review analysis of other teams’ work and education through mentoring, workshops, and establishing guidelines for design, analysis and experimentation.
Ryan joined BCIT to pilot test the ecoCity Footprint Tool and to work with stakeholders to help analyze and act on findings. Outside of his work with BCIT, Ryan is engaged in the circular economy, strategies for plastics, zero waste, and climate action implementation through One Planet Saanich and the Greater Victoria 2030 Resilient District.
