Course Overview
The Mathematics assessment is designed to measure general mathematical competence. Basic principles of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and measurement are assessed. The assessment provides a measure of your preparedness to learn and use advanced math skills in a trades oriented environment.

You will need to present valid Government-issued photo identification and proof of payment to the proctor – you will not be permitted to write the assessment without these documents. If you are writing the assessment at a different physical location (i.e. embassy or consulate), submit your request to secure.bcit.ca/sis/tlcid/. If you are writing the assessment online, please follow the instructions found on BCIT’s Learning Hub for the assessment. You will only be able to access the assessment and the instructions after you have registered and paid for it. **Test fee is non-refundable.** The assessment must be written in the same term you register and pay for it.
