This course provides both theoretical and practical information relating to high voltage systems. Course topics include high voltage generation/transmission/distribution systems, high voltage cables and terminations, high voltage switchgear, high voltage safety and code requirements.
Students must wear steel-toed boots/shoes. Registration is processed on a FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED basis. This course DOES NOT carry a waitlist and late registration not permitted. Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
Describe the basic layout of high voltage installation including typical equipment associated with these systems.
Have a basic understanding of high voltage safety and Code requirements.
