Emphasizes Parts 3, 4 and 5 of the BC Fire Code Regulation 2012. Topics include emergency planning, calculation occupant loads, as well as the regulations covering the storage of dangerous goods, the storage and handling of flammable and combustible liquids, dust producing processes and spray coating operations. Students must bring the BC Fire Code to the first class.
No class July 1st (Canada Day). Please note: The delivery format for this course changed from in-person/in-class to ONLINE DELIVERY for the Spring/Summer term. Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
Understand and apply sections 3, 4 and 5 or the BC Fire Code requirements.
Identify who is responsible for the requirements as described in the fire code.
Calculate occupant loads.
Identify the requirements for the storage of dangerous goods.
Identify the requirements for the storage and dispensing of flammable liquids.
