Part-time Studies Course
BCIT is planning for a substantial return to on-campus activity for the fall 2021 term as informed by BC Public Health Officer guidelines. Refer to each course listing for details.
Defines the contractor's and owner's role in construction as it pertains to site safety and accident prevention.

On successful completion of this course, the students will be able to:
Understand the requirements of the W.C.B. Regulation and ensure compliance with them.
Understand the safe layout and safe equipment for construction sites.
Understand and implement the important issues of programs to prevent accidents, injuries and industrial disease.
Implement safe systems of work and the safeguarding of machinery.
