An official transcript is a legal document that includes all academic history at BCIT and carries the Registrar’s signature.
Before submitting a transcript request
Attended BCIT prior to 1994:
Email records@bcit.ca with your name, date of birth and a phone number where we can reach out to you for further instructions if you have not already.
To assist us in locating your records, please also include details of the program or courses you completed at BCIT.

- Update your personal information. If your name has been legally changed, you will need to submit Change of Name Form.
- Check unofficial transcript to ensure grades for any recently completed courses have been recorded and awarded status is current.

Processing, delivery, and cost
Important: Canada Post mail services currently suspended
Due to the current Canada Post work disruption, mail and parcel services are not being processed or delivered. Transcript requests submitted with the mail delivery option will be held and sent once postal service resumes. Please note that processing and delivery times may take longer than usual once service restarts.

Delivery Details
Mail Out/ Regular Canada Post (currently suspended): Due to the current Canada Post work disruption, mail and parcel services are not being processed or delivered. Transcript requests submitted with the mail delivery option will be held and mailed once postal service resumes. Please note that once service restarts, processing and delivery times may take longer than usual.
BCIT is unable to track or expedite mailed transcripts. Once mail leaves the premises, BCIT is not responsible for lost, delayed, or misplaced mail. While Canada Post has resumed operations, mail processing and delivery may experience delays. For more information, please visit the Canada Post News Release webpage.
Email Delivery: During the Canada Post disruption, official transcripts can also be sent directly by email to institutions upon request. Processing times may be longer than usual. Students are responsible for confirming with their receiving institution before selecting this option. When you place your order please include the e-mail of the post secondary institution into Issue to box
Student Pick-up: Once your transcript is ready, you will be notified and can pick it up at Student Information & Enrolment Services (SIES), Burnaby Campus, Building SW1, 1st Floor.
