The Provincial Instructor Diploma (PIDP) provides the instructional skills to teach adults in private and public post-secondary institutions in BC. The PIDP consists of eight core courses and 7 electives for a total of 30 credits.

Vancouver Community College (VCC)  School of Instructor Education (SIE) offers these courses.

Who is eligible for funding?

Financial support is available to any FSA member, full-time or part-time who is currently teaching at BCIT and has completed the Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW). Financial support is also available for BCGEU full-time and part-time instructors.

If you are a full-time BCGEU Vocational Instructor, please visit the PD/CSD (Professional Development/Career and Skills Development) site for information about funding.

The Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) is also called Delivery of Instruction (PIDP 3220) in the diploma program at VCC.
