Tour guide leads group of new students on a campus tour during campus orientation.

Are you a new and enrolled BCIT student who will be studying on the Burnaby Campus this winter? Register to attend a Kick Start Burnaby Campus tour!

Kick Start Burnaby Campus tour guides are BCIT Student Life Ambassadors, experienced BCIT students who are excited to welcome and support as you transition into student life at BCIT!

Kick Start Burnaby Campus Tour Content:

  • Connect with current students and fellow new students.
  • Tips on how to best navigate campus.
  • How to find your program orientation, class, or lab location details.
  • Academic services and resources available to all BCIT students.
  • Health and wellbeing services and resources available to all BCIT students.
  • Community services and opportunities available to all BCIT students.
  • Campus Food Services
  • Lockers
  • Study Rooms & Spaces
  • And much more!

Please review these important items:

Arrive early as the tour begins right away. We recommend attendees arrive at the meeting location a minimum of 15 minutes before your tour start time.

Meet your tour guides, the Student Life Ambassadors just inside the main entrance to building SW01 (next to Willingdon Avenue) at the Welcome Desk. Please review the Burnaby campus map.

  • Wear weather-appropriate attire and footwear as some of the tour takes place outdoors.
  • Kick Start is BCIT’s centralized orientation for all new students. This tour benefits every new BCIT student and isn’t program specific. Program related questions should be directed to the program itself.
  • Students attending the tour may not bring guests. If students need a support person, they must register as an additional attendee. This is to ensure tour quality for all attendees.
  • If you have accessibility needs, please email us as soon as possible. Connect with BCIT Accessibility Services for specific accessibility supports.
  • This tour is only for enrolled BCIT students. Perspective students, please do not register for this event. If you are a perspective student and would like a tour, use this link to access the appropriate department.
