Course Overview
This course has students working in interdisciplinary teams to design, develop, and build a mobile or web-based application. Projects from this course come from industry with a focus on mobile and web applications. Students are expected to demonstrate initiative by proactively communicating with clients, performing both design and software iterations on a regular basis, report to faculty with progress, and perform quantifiable user tests on each iteration of the product. This collaborative, interdisciplinary team-based approach gives students the opportunity to demonstrate their successful processes during project realization.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Work in an interdisciplinary team to incorporate the best from the design team and the development team.
- Communicate verbally, and in writing with clients to pitch ideas and present iterations.
- Utilize scrum boards and burn down charts to record team and project progress.
- Analyze user feedback and implement changes based on the feedback.
- Resolve technology issues that restrict project features from being implemented.
- Adhere strictly to a UX design methodology.
- Design, administer, and analyze user interviews and surveys.
- Create personas based on the results of the surveys and interviews.
- Generate user stories from the personas that help identify useful application features.
- Manage time and tasks within a given schedule.
- Create task list that chunk tasks down to manageable time frames within an iteration.
- Manage time effectively within a limited time given for the scope of a project.
- Resolve scope, people, and client issues that are presented within the project lifecycle.
- Synchronize both the agile methodology with the UX design process to create a successful team-based approach.
- Develop strategies to make effective use of interdisciplinary team skills.
