Course Overview
This course builds on the knowledge and skills you gained about the music business through the prerequisite BCST 1002 and BCST 1003 courses. You will work towards focused measurable goals to move your career forward each week. The curriculum harnesses a collaborative class environment that will collectively push and inspire your career advancement. You will utilize social media calendars and implement content marketing strategies, while increasing your understanding of techniques to reach new markets. You will use fundraising platforms in class to develop your skill set in increasing your own income generation. Music industry guests will be brought in for further networking and discussion.

- Pre-requisite BCST 1002 and 1003 courses are needed to register. If the pre-requisite has not been completed, contact the Program Assistant, Gena_Peters@bcit.ca. This course will be delivered synchronously ONLINE, requiring your attendance and participation in scheduled online lectures for the duration of the course. Prospective students should have solid written and spoken English language skills to be successful in this course. Only those intending to pursue the entire Music Business Associate Certificate program should enrol. If seats remain registration is permitted after the course start date up to Sep 16th, by calling 604-434-1610, without program approval.
