Course Overview
This course introduces students to the Linux operating system (OS) and develops their proficiency using the command line interface to configure and manage the OS. Students will be able to describe the file system, structures, and basic architecture of Linux. In addition, students will configure files and the file system, and manage processes, users, and groups within the Linux environment. Students will implement file globbing, redirection, processes, regular expressions, permissions and basic scripting.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Describe the basic architecture of the Linux operating system
- Describe the Linux file system and its structures
- Manipulate files
- Configure file system permissions
- Configure the Bash shell's environment
- Implement redirection for input, output, and error
- Search for files using globbing patterns and commands
- Manage processes, users, and groups.
