Course Overview
Explores the fundamental physical principles of computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology, PET-CT and their application within Radiation Therapy. Outlines the principles of radiographic imaging and its limitations, followed by a description of the history and baisc physics of these imaging technologies including a discussion of data acquisition, image reconstruction, instrumentation, image quality, and applications in radiation. Concludes with an outline of the major components of a PACS and its application in Radiation Therapy. Students will gain knowledge on contrast media classifications and potential adverse reactions to contrast media along side CT course content that is already in this course
