Course Overview
Being an entrepreneur is about more than just starting a business or two, it is about having attitude and the drive to succeed in business. All successful entrepreneurs have a similar way of thinking and possess several key personal qualities that make them so successful in business. This course will help students instill confidence in their ideas, develop presentation skills, develop a business and marketing plan, create a pitch on the fly for a new project, explore possible funding options and demystify venture capital opportunities.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Create a business plan based on a specific business idea.
- Create a marketing plan.
- Develop an interactive presentation.
- Give examples of skills and attitudes essential for successful entrepreneurship in a culturally diverse setting.
- Self assess strengths and weaknesses in the context of entrepreneurship.
- Explore funding sources for specific business ideas.
- Identify resources that will support entrepreneurs as they start or grow their businesses.
- Analyze different venture capital opportunities.
