Course Overview
This course provides a structured, evidence-based approach to developing healthcare ventures. Learners progress through the complete founder journey, from idea selection and problem validation through Minimum Viable Product (MVP) design, credibility building, and early traction, within the unique context of healthcare systems and markets. The course examines healthcare-specific constraints, including regulatory requirements, procurement processes, clinical evidence needs, and multi-stakeholder governance. Through practical exercises, applied tools and a cumulative capstone project, learners develop the skills to identify unmet healthcare needs, validate solutions with real users, and design credible, evidence-based healthcare ventures.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Apply structured idea selection frameworks to generate, evaluate, and select high-potential healthcare venture ideas based on evidence rather than intuition.
- Validate healthcare problems and markets through problem validation interviews, realistic market sizing , spending pattern identification, and willingness-to-pay assessment before committing resources to product development.
- Design minimum viable products appropriate for healthcare contexts by defining the smallest viable product versions, mapping value loops, creating manual and concierge MVPs, and testing pricing and demand with small cohort pilots while respecting regulatory and safety constraints.
- Navigate healthcare-specific business constraints including regulatory requirements, healthcare procurement processes, clinical evidence requirements, long sales cycles, and multi-stakeholder governance structures.
- Develop evidence-based credibility assets including social proof, expert alignment, momentum narratives, and early adopter engagement strategies tailored to healthcare stakeholders (clinicians, administrators, patients, payers).
- Construct a healthcare venture business model incorporating revenue model design for healthcare markets, payer-provider-patient dynamics, and go-to-market strategies appropriate for healthcare ecosystems.
- Present a compelling healthcare venture narrative including clear problem statements, value propositions, and pitch presentations that resonate with healthcare stakeholders, potential investors, and health authority partners.
