Course Overview
This hands-on 12 week course is an introduction to the visual representation of data. Students will be introduced to commonly used data visualization software tools and taught how to best convey information to viewers. Upon completion of this course students will have an understanding of proper visualization techniques and pitfalls to avoid as well as an understanding of how to create data visualizations with Tableau and Excel.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:
- To develop an understanding of the principles and guidelines useful for data visualization.
- To design presentation quality reports for Business Intelligence.
- To create a variety of charts and different ways to depict data.
- Represent data visually with charts and maps.
- Familiarity with commonly used data visualization tools.
- Create usable and informative dashboard.
- Create usable and informative infographics.
- Create data visualizations using Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrate creating, modifying and formatting charts in MS Excel.
- Create data visualizations using Tableau.
- Demonstrate creating, modifying and formatting charts in Tableau.
