Course details

In this course, students will plan production methods for the manufacture and process of machine component parts. Economic considerations, design specification and processing capabilities will all be assessed for their impact on the manufacturing process. Group technology classification methods will be used to simplify the planning process. Computer Aided Process Planning software will be utilized to further automate the planning function.
