Course Overview
Students will complete a Capstone Project selected from industry; this project will include all the knowledge and skills gained from the previous five courses. Working on a real-world case, students will be given data to analyse, find nuggets of insights, make recommendations and present the findings to the faculty, fellow students and industry. In the process students will develop a project plan and produce milestone deliverables that include problem definition, data model design, ETL specifications and dashboard development tailored to the stakeholders.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Identify and define a practical business analytics problem or challenge faced by an individual or organization with whom you do not have a pre-existing relationship.
- Define the project objectives, conduct appropriate research, develop conclusions, and formulate recommendations to appropriately address the problem or challenge.
- Create an in-depth written report covering all aspects of the project.
- Use effective leadership, teamwork and project management skills while working within a self-managed group of three students to complete the Directed Studies project.
