Course Overview
In this Clinical Practicum learners will have the opportunity to further develop skills and competencies related to the practice of a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) in Canadian Medical Imaging and CT departments. Learners will be conducting examinations in collaboration with experienced MRT in a variety of areas related to diagnostic medical imaging including General Radiography departments, Fluoroscopy/Interventional Radiology, Operating Rooms (OR), Mobile environments, and CT departments. Students will receive a clinical schedule, that includes all variety of shifts and work areas, designed to expose learners to the requisite case types to ensure adequate exposure to develop and demonstrate competency over the 8-week period. A variety of evaluations will be conducted to assess practitioner performance related to the following CAMRT entry to practice domains: Professional, Communicator, Care Provider, Leader, and Clinical Expert further outlined below.
