Course Overview
This course focuses on the anatomy and physiology of the Skeletal and Skeletal Muscle systems with emphasis and specific concentration on those areas most pertinent to prosthetics and orthotics. Regional anatomy of the lower limb is covered in detail.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:
- Explain normal physiologic processes of the musculoskeletal system.
- Identify common abnormalities of the musculoskeletal system.
- Discuss the influence prosthetic and orthotic treatment may have on the musculoskeletal system.
- Locate surface and deep anatomical landmarks of the lower limb which are relevant to orthopedics.
- Analyze cause and effect relationships between various anatomical structures of the lower limb.
