Course Overview
This course will advance students' knowledge and skills through practical experience. Students will have an opportunity to incapsulate all acquired learning and to perform troubleshooting and maintenance procedures on engines and aircraft. Students will also become familiar with the procedures for configuring aircraft for floats and skis, and the impact of human factors on aircraft maintenance.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Discuss the operation of an AMO
- Perform service and maintenance procedures on aircraft
- Discuss human factors in aircraft maintenance
- Perform aircraft ground handling, towing, and marshalling
- Explain the operation of an Approved Maintenance Operation (AMO)
- Perform duties of key personnel within an AMO
- Describe quality assurance programs
- Outline the AME's responsibilities for maintenance release
- Complete documents for maintenance records
- Inspect aircraft using proper techniques and documentation
- Perform weight and balance process
- Perform configuration change (landing gear)
- Remove / install an engine in aircraft including installation of accessories and component systems
- Perform ground run-up
- Perform inspection and maintenance of aircraft interior and emergency equipment
- Solve problems in aircraft systems
- Explain incident, symmetry checks, and adjustments
- Describe aircraft levelling procedures and reasons for levelling
- Explain fabric surface materials, as well as inspection and repair processes
- Explain wood components including types, as well as inspection and repair processes
