This course is designed to provide you with the theoretical understanding and practical skills needed for the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components used in aircraft.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Discuss the importance of aircraft fluid systems.
- Identify types of hydraulic fluid.
- Discuss hydraulic fluid properties.
- Explain the behavior of hydraulic fluids.
- Explain hydraulic system design.
- Explain hydraulic system operation.
- Explain work, power, and mechanical advantage in hydraulic systems.
- Describe rigid fluid lines and fittings.
- Fabricate rigid tube assemblies.
- Inspect and repair rigid tube assemblies.
- Describe flexible hose fluid lines and fittings.
- Fabricate flexible hose assemblies.
- Install, inspect, and test flexible hose assemblies.
- Discuss hydraulic system seals.
- Install hydraulic system seals and test components.
- Explain independent, dependent, and auxiliary hydraulic systems.
- Explain operation of hydraulic system emergency backup systems.
- Perform hydraulic system maintenance and servicing.
- Test, troubleshoot, repair, adjust, remove and install hydraulic systems.
