Course Overview
This in-person course builds on previous electric vehicle (EV) technology knowledge and focuses on powertrain repair aspect of the electric vehicle repair. Participants will explore recent developments around powertrain components and battery technologies. In-class exercises will include diagnosing common powertrain failures, using safe and effective repair techniques and understanding gaps around published manufacturer repair procedures.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Examine developing battery technologies
- Describe current and emerging EV powertrain arrangements
- Analyze battery and power supply functionality
- Diagnose high voltage powertrain support component failures
- Show proper use of new-to-market high voltage EV test equipment
