Jessie Chen
She/Her/Hers
- About: Jessie is a Registered Clinical Counselor (RCC) with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology who values providing a safe space for clients and fostering belonging. Outside her role, she enjoys spending time with her puppy and hiking on sunny days.
- Therapeutic approach: Her practice is focused on relational and client-centred therapy. Through a collaborative and reflective environment, Jessie engages her clients in a journey towards deeper self-understanding and goal achievement.

Judy Bushnell
She/her/hers
- About: Judy is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and a Certified Mindfulness Teacher (CMT-P) with a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia.
- Therapeutic Approach: With an anti-oppressive framework and trauma-informed lens, Judy integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) into her practice to help students live by their values and navigate life’s challenges with greater ease and flexibility.

Kristin Konieczny
She/her/hers
- About: Kristin is a Canadian Certified Counsellor and Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCC, CCS) with a passion for supporting adults through major life transitions, relationship challenges, and trauma recovery. Over the past six years, she has worked at BCIT, where she helps students navigate the complexities of academic life, personal growth, and evolving relationships. Fun fact: She is of Polish decent and played high level rugby in her twenties.
- Therapeutic approach: Kristin integrates Somatic Attachment Psychotherapy (SAP), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and Existential Analysis in her work. Her approach focuses on listening to the body’s wisdom, creating space for the safe expression of emotions, and helping clients reconnect with meaning, freedom, and inner truth. Whether someone is processing grief, seeking deeper connection, or rebuilding after a relationship breakdown, Kristin offers a space that is warm, embodied, and deeply attuned. Outside of work, you can find her listening to the sociology/psychology podcasts and soaking up the beauty of the Lower Mainland.

Marina Kononenko

- About: Marina is a Registered Clinical Counselor (RCC) with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. Her primary clinical work experience is in post-secondary institutions, where she has helped clients with a variety of mental health difficulties and life challenges.
- Therapeutic approach: Marina is committed to client-centred, collaborative, and trauma-informed therapy. She uses an eclectic framework with a general focus on Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), integrating elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). Marina aims to help empower her clients to gain self-understanding and find healthy ways of coping with challenges.

- About: With 25 years of experience and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, Ray has dedicated over two decades to helping individuals become their best selves. Beyond the counselling room, he is an enthusiastic educator and performer who enjoys the tranquillity of camping, hot tubbing, and suburban life with his beloved family and cat, Sammi.
- Therapeutic approach: Focused on applying the most effective methods when working toward goals, Ray builds solid and genuine relationships with people to catalyze positive change over time – all infused with generous amounts of humour.

Min Kim

She/Her/Hers
- About: Min is a practicum counsellor pursuing a master’s degree in counselling psychology at City University of Seattle in Canada. She is working towards her Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) designation with BCACC.
- Therapeutic Approach: Her practice is client-centered and tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Min aims to create a safe and supportive space where clients can collaboratively explore their experiences and work towards healing and meeting their goals.

Tasha Urbancic

She/Her/Hers
- About: Natasha is a practicum counsellor currently completing her Master’s degree in Counselling who believes that healing begins in a warm, compassionate, and affirming environment where clients feel safe to be vulnerable. After being a student for 10 years, Natasha uniquely understands the pressures of post-secondary education and wants to help guide students through their challenges. Outside of work, Natasha loves crocheting, reading and drinking tea.
- Therapeutic approach: Natasha’s approach is built on a strength-based, client-centered framework, where she partners with individuals to leverage their inherent abilities to help meet their goals (and celebrate along the way!). She tailors her approach to each client, integrating skills from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to help them address a variety of life challenges, from navigating stress and anxiety to coping with depression and relational difficulties.
