Course Overview
This internship provides students with a 300-hour hands-on work experience, allowing them to complete real-world projects and build their professional network and portfolio. Students will secure their own placement with support from an instructor and may work with small businesses, non-profit organizations, agencies, or various clients. The internship offers students the opportunity to gain practical experience, refine their skills, and understand professional expectations in their field. Assessment includes the successful securement of the internship, completion of required documentation, and workplace performance as evaluated by the client or host organization. Students will prepare a report reflecting on their experience.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

- Document and communicate professional growth and achievements through a comprehensive record of work experience that can be used to showcase abilities to potential employers or clients.
- Create effective design solutions for a project assigned by a client, incorporating feedback and adhering to project specifications.
- Present ideas and concepts to clients or employers in a clear, concise, and professional manner, utilizing visual aids and other presentation techniques as appropriate.
- Develop design briefs that align with the client's goals and objectives, demonstrating an understanding of client needs and project requirements.

- Prepare and deliver a summary of the internship experience reflecting on personal achievements, challenges encountered, and areas for future growth.
- Demonstrate ethical and professional conduct in all aspects of the internship, including respecting confidentiality, intellectual property rights, and workplace policies.
