Course Overview
Big Data continues to have a significant impact on business. This course serves as an introduction to the key aspects of how business intelligence is used in current business practices. Students will build business intelligence knowledge through the practical hands-on development of data analysis software and other applications and apply this knowledge by analyzing information to make business decisions.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student wil be able to:
- Evaluate the functions and components of a Business Intelligence system.
- Process data sets using a Business Analytics system.
- Plan Business Intelligence and Analytics technology implementations.
- Develop reports and support business decision making using various Business Intelligence tools.
- Assess the functionality of local and Cloud Computing applications for Business Intelligence.
- Evaluate emerging trends in Business Intelligence.
