Course Overview
Examines health and safety hazards and controls in a variety of work environments. Includes building construction, excavations, blasting, ladders, work platforms, hoisting equipment, confined space entry, fall protection, mobile equipmemt, equipment guarding, lock-out, hand and power tools, welding, and cutting. Explains how to successfully eliminate or reduce the hazards and risks associated with several work processes. Reinforces the hierarchy of controls - engineering, administrative, and personal protective equipment. Discusses both historical and current issues. (This course is equivalent to OCHS 2340.)
