Course Overview
The purpose of this online course is to introduce students to the currently-accepted best practices in clinical education. It will cover clinical instruction, mentorship, and preceptorship. Students will be introduced to instructional techniques in the clinical setting. Theoretical approaches to teaching and learning in clinical education are covered along with hands-on teaching and learning strategies. The course will also cover basic methods of addressing interpersonal issues that may impact learning.
