Covers the basic knowledge required to operate a programmable logic controller (PLC). Examines advantages of PLC's installation, hardware requirements, peripheral devices, system operation and hands-on programmable to relay replacement level using industry accepted software (Allen-Bradley RS Logix 5000).
TELC 0130 – Basic Motor Control and/or successful completion of Electrical Apprenticeship Level 2 or 3 or 4 program within the last 5 years. Electrical Journeyperson certificate, electrical engineering degree and/or equivalent practical hands-on experience are also acceptable.
