Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Describe the railway as a business enterprise, competing in open markets and managing resources to produce profits;
- Describe railways' financial analysis for determining the effectiveness of railway operations;
- Describe how customer service contributes to a railway's ability to compete in the transportation marketplace; and,
- Investigate and discuss major business and environmental changes in the Canadian railways.
