As a requirement of the Gas Safety Regulation and recognized by the Provincial Gas Safety Manager this course prepares students to write the examination to qualify for the Gas Fitter A Certificate of Qualification. A mandatory seven day practical component is included in the tuition and is offered at the end of the theory component in April and May. Registrant is the holder of a Gas B Certificate of Qualification for at least two years.
Distance Education Please visit https://www.bcit.ca/study/programs/gasfitting Prerequisite: Students must hold a class B license for 2 years. A ten day practical component at the Burnaby BCIT campus must be completed before students can take the examination. The cost of the practical component is included in the tuition and should be taken when the home study portion is completed. Students will participate online Monday and Wednesday evenings.Contact Program Assistant at 604-412-7564 for further assistance.
