The emphasis of the course will be on corporate and retail design. Students will create distinctive design concepts, branding and planning for retail spaces. Students will implement the design process for planning offices and apply their knowledge of systems furniture within a large corporate floor plate. A process journal will be developed during the course to document research, concept sketches, ideas, notes, quotes and other inspirations.
Entrance Requirements for Diploma, INTD 3100* Design Theory 2, INTD 3320* Materials and Specifications. *May be taken concurrently.
Mandatory Prerequisites: 50% in General Education Electives (6 credits) 70% in COMM 1120 65% in INTD 2500 65% in INTD 3100* 65% in INTD 3310* (*May be taken concurrently) This course is only offered to students who are currently enrolled and have taken classes in the diploma.
