This course is designed for workers who risk being exposed to air contaminants above the permissible exposure limits (PEL's) or suggested exposure levels.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
Explain the legislative requirements for respirators.
Describe roles and responsibilities.
Conduct hazard identification.
Perform respirator selection, use, and APF.
Explain the types of respirators and filter ratings.
Perform pre-medical screening and medical evaluation.
Maintain a respiratory fit test record.
Describe cartridge classifications.
Perform fit tests.
