Course Overview
The primary focus of this course is the development of a sound methodology to build "what if" spreadsheet models. Students begin with detailed instruction on basic commands and functions, then progress to common business cases in which the design of the spreadsheet is of paramount importance. In addition to model building, the course will cover the basics of MS Excel, charts, names, pivot tables, filters, goal seek and scenarios.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Use correct terminology when discussing spreadsheet applications.
- Work with multiple worksheets and cell protection.
- Create complex charts and forecasts using trend lines.
- Use logical functions such as: IF, AND etc.
- Use functions related to IF such as COUNTIF and VLOOKUP.
- Use financial functions such as PMT, FV, NPER, IRR, NPV and RATE.
- Perform data management of lists using data forms, auto filter, sort, subtotal and pivot tables.
- Use goal seek and create scenarios.
- Develop a multi-sheet worksheet model capable of sensitivity analyses.
