Course Overview
This workshop introduces participants to HR Metrics and Analytics; the utilization of HR data to support evidence based decision-making. Participants will be provided with an understanding of how to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of HR activities, at an organizational, departmental and initiative level. Additionally, participants will be given the opportunity to explore these concepts within the context of their own work environment and experience. This interactive, applied workshop uses a combination of instructor presentations, group interaction, practice sessions, and experiential activities.

Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this workshop the participant will be able to:
- Define and explain the concepts of data, metrics and analytics within the context of Human Resources Management (HRM).
- Discuss the importance of measurement and reporting as strategic HRM tools .
- Differentiate between measuring the effectiveness, efficiency and strategic impact of HR initiatives, along with leading and lagging performance indicators.
- Apply a framework to help identify the HR metrics that best align with the organizational goals, objectives and challenges within their own workplace environment – measure the right thing.
- Critically assess the feasibility and cost-benefit analysis of implementing a HR metrics and analytics strategy.
