Community of Care (BCIT Student Recovery Community)

September 24 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm PDT

The Community of Care is an inclusive, compassionate, and accepting space for students who are in recovery from a substance or behaviour addiction, or curious about their relationship to substances and/or other addictive behaviours.

Our first gathering will include a small-group peer support meeting designed to facilitate connection and community among students who are on their individual recovery journeys. We welcome all recovery pathways, from harm reduction to abstinence.

Meetings are led by students with lived and living experience and are held in-person. Light refreshments will be provided. For more information, please email student_life@bcit.ca.

If you would like to know about future meetings, fill out this quick registration and we will contact you. If you’d prefer to be anonymous, you can submit a fake name.

Recovery meetings are not treatment or a substitute for treatment. Please make an appointment with Student Health Services or Counselling and Student Development if you are looking for clinical or provider support.
