​This course introduces students to welding through the use of oxy fuel and GMAW equipment. Students are expected to first learn safe working procedures associated with their welding tasks, and will then learn about oxy fuel and GMAW welding through practical tasks.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Identify the basic safety requirements for oxy fuel equipment.
  • Prepare and use oxy fuel equipment for practical tasks.
  • Identify the safety requirements for GMAW equipment.
  • Prepare and use GMAW equipment for practical tasks.
