Course Overview
This workshop-style course will equip researchers with basic video, audio, and storytelling skills to better present aspects of their findings for a wider online audience. Participants will learn how to create compelling video stories, including sequenced shooting and engaging interviews, all with the use of a smartphone.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Capture quality video and audio with the use of their smartphone and additional equipment, such as a tripod/stabilizer, a mic, and a sun gun light.
- Shoot basic video sequences.
- Plan an effective video interview, and use strong interviewing techniques.
- Be familiar with editing and shooting apps for their phone.
- Utilize effective storytelling to communicate their research subject to a broader audience.
