This course introduces the theory and application of trigonometric functions; right angle trigonometry; oblique triangles and vectors.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:
Module 1 - The Trigonometric Functions
- Define an angle.
- Define the trigonometric functions.
- Apply the principles of right angle trigonometry to practical problems.
Module 2 - Trigonometric Functions of Any Angle
- Calculate the trigonometric functions of any triangle.
- Calculate radian measure.
- Apply the principles of radian measure to practical problems.
Module 3 - Vectors and Oblique Triangles
- Define vectors in a plane.
- Apply the principles of vector addition to the solution of right angle and non-right angle triangles.
- Apply the laws of sine to the solution of oblique triangles.
- Apply the laws of cosine to the solution of oblique triangles.
- Calculate the area of oblique triangles.
- Calculate the area of right angle triangles.
