Course Overview
To provide the automotive service technician instructor with technical training upgrades for some of the new 2018 level three outline topics. Topics covered in this course will be gasoline direct injection and vehicle networking. This course will provide detailed classroom and in-shop lessons on the diagnosis and service of these systems. This course will also give instructors hands-on skill with lab scopes and advanced scan tool diagnostic techniques.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- explain the operation of gasoline direct injection systems and vehicle networking systems;
- perform on vehicle testing and diagnosis; and,
- use lab scopes and scan tools to diagnose these systems.
